I’m sitting here waiting to be picked up by some of my favs. They’ve made an epic quest to venture from all points of Houston down to the Riverwalk in San Antonio so we can celebrated the upcoming betrothment of our beloved Jenova… Or, I guess after October 2nd, she’ll be known as Jennifer Johnson. I know, cutest name ever, right?
Bachelorette parties… How many have I been to? I guess my very first one was in Las Vegas when Vicki was married. We actually had a very tame night walking around certain hotspots, the fountain at… The Bellagio? Dang, that was like 6 years ago? I remember going to Angela’s on Dirty 6th… It just happened to be my birthday weekend, too, so free shots all around. THAT was a quite epic night. The pictures have been locked away, some never to have been taken in the first place and won’t see the light of day. Lily’s, in College Station, was also a blast – best cake ever, I absolutely loved all the girls I met that night. Erica’s was the best trainwreck ever! We had entirely too much to drink, I accidentally made out with some married guy, and the night ended with Erica dancing in the middle of a big group of drunk longhorns dancing around a homeless guy with a drunk chanting “OU Sucks!” (I think) (There was some stuff after but I have no recollection of the night). Yes, Erica, our favorite, was in the middle of all that throwing the horns down. Totally epic. I love that girl. Man. I have got to be missing some pieces of bachelorette parties… Surely I’ve been to more.
Last year on the riverwalk, we threw our own fake bachelorette party to try and avoid paying cover – and it worked for the most part. OH MY GOD – it is almost a year to the day! I just remember a “real bride” and I were talking at one point in the night. She asked when I was getting married. I said, “next weekend!” she like, “Me Too! August (whatever)”… It being July, my natural response was, “no NEXT WEEKEND”… Ooops! She was very intoxicated so she didn’t catch it. I just remember men, men, men…
