I’ve been noticeably absent from my blog…
I’ve had a really insane two weeks prepping for my new job…
Being in Jenova’s wedding…
Quitting my old job…
Trying to keep my head above in homework…
Moving out of me and the sister’s apartment…
And basically on a bender for two weeks…
So this weekend I decided that I’d do a little damage control. Detox. One day in, and I feel outstanding. I’m basically flushing my system out with a bunch of water, eating lean foods, cutting out certain snacks (and replacing them with things like a sun-dried tomato), and twice a day taking Airborne…
Now this is a little experiment I was doing. I woke up Friday morning feeling like I was on the verge of sick from stress, exhaustion, and too much fun. I stopped by Walgreen’s on my way to the lab and picked up “Walborne”, which is a knockoff – because, even though I had all the contents of my former office with me in the rodeo, I couldn’t find mine. I was sitting there drinking it, wondering what was actually in it… When it reminded me of something I used to drink…
This something would be a straight up vitamin blow to my system, for this chemically-balanced diet I was once on, in which I lost about 30 lbs in like 2 and a half months. That is entirely too little of time to lose weight, by the way.
So today I’ve been shooting my system out with water and airborne, since I researched the ingredients in airborne (yes, it really is vitamins and minerals).
I’ve also been trying to cut out sugars, etc. to get the full effect. It’s been working, until I came across cakewrecks on my study break…
SUGAR.
ICING.
I can feel my pupils getting big from lack of sugar intake (or alcohol intake) (I promised myself I wouldn’t drink today) (first time in two weeks).
I started to assess what’s in my cabinets.
Smart Pop Kettle Corn.
PAM, butter edition.
Splenda.
DING!
Earlier I read this article in Women’s Health where Carrie Underwood sprayed Pam on an English muffin. This gave me an idea.
I popped a little Smart Pop, sprayed it with PAM butter, and sprinkled a little Splenda on it.
Sugar cravings?
They’re gone 🙂
Glad your back to blogging. I've missed your rants and raves, and ramblings in general.
