So now that I’m 25, it’s time to get on that bucket list.
So far this year, I’ve… Gone skydiving (three times), stepped completely out of my comfort zone, played on both kickball and dodgeball teams, been inspired to run a marathon (maybe soon that inspiration will actually concrete into something…), gone bar hopping in downtown Austin on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, tried tofu, started a blog, clearly…
This year for Halloween I am going to tramp it up for the first time, ever. I’ve usually tried to go for the funny, more creative and clever homemade costumes. My facebook costume was a HUGE hit in 2005.
This year, I’ve opted for the Sexy Ghostbuster. You can probably find it by googling that term. Now, I am rather excited about my costume. It’s totally a throwback to my 80’s childhood, my sister and I grew up on the movie, not to mention “There is no ____, only Zuel” is one of my faaaavoritist random phrases to drop.
Here’s something a bit unexpected. A large majority of the men I have told about my plan… Give me this reaction…
“A Ghostbuster? Why don’t you just be the secretary from Ghostbusters? I could totally see you with that Jersey accent.”
WHAT?
WHAT?!
ARE YOU KIDDING?
Did I say I wanted to be the SECRETARY from Ghostbusters? NO! I want to be a GHOSTBUSTER! Why can’t I be a GHOSTBUSTER! What, just because I’m a woman, I have to play the sexy secretary? I can’t actually put on the Ghostbuster uniform? I mean, WTF do you REALLY mean by that?
And another thing – how come she never hooked up with Egon? They would have totally been adorable!! Is he just gay for science or something? She’s totally hitting on him when he’s under the desk, and he goes off about collecting spores in his spare time. What, a secretary isn’t good enough for him? So they have to hook her up with that nerdy guy down the hall that’s socially retarded?
I think Egon is kinda hot. Hmm, I wonder if he sparked my interest in tall nerdy guys with glasses?
and you're right- they totally should've hooked up.
"we came, we saw,we kicked its ass!" love ya sis!
