The following emails were circulating around work this morning regarding getting a bunch of professionals to gather ’round and celebrate a meal for the birthday of two of our favorite ladies.

I’ll be in training in Seguin (yeah, I know I need it) so won’t be able to join you, but know that I wish all the May birthday girls well. Have fun.

I believe my term has expired. There are now term limits

[We then all gather for breakfast and discuss food stamps, birthdays, and my previous emails to disband the party planning committee… Which currently consists of Denise. Therefore there is no committee. No one caught this irony. Fine! I’ll make short work of this.]

As my first official act of party committee person with no committee, I am hereby banning the use of the English version of “Happy Birthday”; except for the eighth use out of a cycle of ten birthdays. We will now be singing more diverse versions, beginning with “Feliz Cumpleanos Y Tu”, then using the Russian form of “С Днем Рождения Вас”, the Yiddish version of “גליקלעך געבורטסטאג צו איר” and so on; being based by the birthday person’s last name and or heritage. If the person does not have a straight heritage, one will be drawn from a hat.
Thanks and have a great day!

Could get the Czech version please….but accompanied by bagpipes since Scotch-Irish is also in my heritage. And when we sing it in November, if we could pat our hands over our mouth like an Indian, this would also satisfy my Cherokee heritage requirements….and being that Jim Bowie was my 5th great Uncle, if everyone would bring their own knife that day to cut the cake…this would make the family proud!
Oh how I just love this new format!!!!
