But it’s done. I am now fully-functioning in San Marcos. Leeta and I are renting a house in a (well, if there was a suburb in San Marcos, this would be it) residential neighborhood that almost feels like we’re in the country. The house is great, and the only thing crazier than the obnoxious paint job inside the house is that our furniture (purchased by surprise by my mother in 2002) completely matches it perfectly. I counted 12 regular-sized bruises and one king-sized bruise, and gave my toes an outstanding workout from climbing on the tops of couches and tying down boxes in a UHaul truck. I also proved this workout by pinching someone with them that Saturday night. I love having that talent.
I will have to admit at this time that my bedroom did have a burnt orange accent wall in it, which I definitely spent most of Tuesday painting over. Painting by yourself is really exhausting, and have two extra hands is definitely needed.
Well the cable and internet is set up, school’s out, work’s out – but Christmas is getting here rather quick, so I’d better tie up some loose ends before mi madre gets here.
Merry Christmas, everyone 🙂
